We use a number of different cameras. As a general rule we tend to encourage the use of Power Over Ethernet (PoE) cameras – which simplifies installation and is easily managed in the case of a power cut – by means of an appropriate UPS (Un-interruptable Power Supply)

Good in low light

Day/night camera – using IR. Can also be used with an external IR light source for better clarity

Motion detection

fire events based on frame change movements – switch on recording, take snapshots – external triggers, incl lights – or send reporting alerts (email/SMS)

Easy installation

just a cat 5 cable – all over poe, great for redundancy and can manage power and status centrally

Automatic configuration and monitoring

All of our cameras become true plug-and-play cameras using our automatic configuration technology. Not only does this lead to faster installation times, saving unnecessary expense, but we also continue to monitor and test the connections to the devices. This means that you have no unexpected surprises – and ensures that all of your equipment is working 100% of the time. Any problems, will mean that you get notified by email or SMS.

Y-Cam & Panasonic IP Cameras

We have built our DoorGuard software to work with Y-Cam and Panasonic cameras – but it should be fine with any cameras – if you have any specific queries, please ask – we can help with specific projects and can adapt our support to cater for more camera makes and models.
